Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been described as the study of 'excellence' in the field of communication. NLP was originally developed in the early 1970's by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, following their studies of what makes individuals 'excel' in their professions.
NLP is about how the way we think influences our behaviour and our performance. NLP is actually a set of simple, yet highly effective, tools & techniques that help us get in touch with our subconscious mind.
It has evolved from the diverse field of psychology when Richard Bandler * John Grinder studied the methods of Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir & Milton Erickson who has been described as the worlds foremost hypnotist.

In studying these people, Bandler & Grinder looked particularly at the elements in their work which made them stand out in their fields of endeavour. At the core of NLP there is a wide range of models & techniques that can be applied to help a person to achieve their full potential, whether it is in business, sports, education or increasing your own personal performance.
I trained with Paul McKenna and Dr Richard Bandler (founder of NLP) in 2003 and have used NLP techniques widely in my practice, particularly in conjunction with hypnotherapy. This can be a powerful medium in facilitating change in the individual for the better.
